The Professional ArchiveWedding photography & films

From the ceremony and portraits to the moments in between, we photograph and film the day as it unfolds. We’ll offer guidance when you need it and give you space to be with the people you love.

The Guest ArchiveYour day through your guests’ cameras

We give your guests digital and Polaroid cameras to capture the day from their side. They know the inside jokes and familiar faces. We collect and select their digital photos to sit alongside the ones we take.

The Physical ArchiveAlbums & prints to keep

Your guests’ Polaroids in a frame, and your wedding photographs in an album you can hold. We’ll choose the format and photographs with you, so these memories have a place in your home.

BEYOND THE WEDDING DAY

The person behind the photographs.

My father ran a studio in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve been photographing people since 2020, with engineering studies and acting along the way. Here’s a little about what brought me here.

Away from weddings, I’m into rock climbing, diving, travelling and finding good food. I also make portraits and head out for street photography. If we share an interest, we’ll have plenty to talk about.

My family, my path & the work

THE FAMILY STUDIO

A family history in photographs.

My father had a photography studio in Kuala Lumpur. The family studio’s work ranged from preschool portraits to commercial shoots and fashion photography.

A preschool photo might end up in a family album; a fashion photo might tell a very different story. I like that photography has room for both.

WHY THE ARCHIVAL OF US

The things a photograph keeps.

When you look through old family photos, you notice more than the occasion. How young your parents were. The relatives sitting together. The house, the furniture, the life in the background.

That’s why I built The Archival of Us. We photograph the ceremony and the portraits, and pay just as much attention to the people around them. Years later, a small moment you barely noticed might be the photo you love most.

MY OWN PATH

Finding my own way.

I started photographing people in 2020: school events, portraits, family days and weddings. I also studied civil and structural engineering at ITE College East and tried acting. Photography became the work I wanted to keep doing.

With people, it helps to know when to offer a little guidance and when to let things happen. That’s how I approach a wedding. We make time for portraits and stay close to what’s happening around us.

BRINGING PHOTOGRAPHERS TOGETHER

A photo walk in Tiong Bahru.

I brought photographers and two models together in Tiong Bahru to take photos, try different angles and share ideas. I enjoy bringing people together around something we love.

COMMUNITY

Care beyond the photograph.

I also make time for community and charity events, including a visit to AWWA. Being there for people matters to me, with or without a camera.

I also make photos for myself. It’s how I try new ideas and learn what feels right to me.

FILMMAKER

Shahrul Haziq

Shahrul is into bikes, especially motorbikes these days. He used to mountain bike, which led to an Oakley sponsorship. He also made a video for the brand.

He and his siblings turned their family home into a small gallery of old photos and keepsakes. It brought relatives together to remember their grandparents and make new memories. Berita Harian featured the family project in the news.

Before you book.

What does the starting price include?

Wedding coverage starts from S$7,000. We’ll work out what you need and give you a quote before you book. It will list the hours, who’s coming, what you’ll receive and the full price. Guest cameras, prints, albums and film are included only as agreed in your quote.

We’re not used to a camera. Will you guide us?

Yes. You don’t need to know how to pose. We’ll help you with where to stand and what to do, and give you time to settle in. After the portraits, you can get back to your people.

When will we receive our photographs and films?

First 48 is a first look at your day: preview photos and a short film within 48 hours, as agreed in your quote. The full gallery, finished films, prints and albums arrive later, on the dates we agree with you.

Can we see a full wedding and speak first?

Yes. Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll share a full wedding gallery for you to look through. Send us your plans on WhatsApp and we’ll arrange a chat. You don’t have to book just because you’ve asked.

Who will photograph and film our wedding?

You’ll plan directly with Jason. We also work with freelance photographers and filmmakers. Your quote will confirm who’s coming and what each person will do.

How does the Guest Archive work?

We give your guests digital and Polaroid cameras to take their own photos. We collect and choose the digital photos to go with the ones our team takes. Your quote confirms how many cameras and packs of film are included, and how we’ll collect them.

What can we keep in the Physical Archive?

Your guests’ Polaroids can go into a frame, and your wedding photos into an album. We’ll agree on the size, what goes inside, the price and when it will be ready before you book.

How do we secure our date and pay?

Once we’ve agreed on the coverage and price, a 50% non-refundable deposit secures your booking date. The remaining 50% is due after the event, before delivery of the final photographs. Dates are confirmed only after the deposit is received. Sending this form or a WhatsApp message does not reserve a date.

What if our date or venue is still undecided?

You can still share your plans. Choose “Our date is not confirmed yet” and tell us which venues or locations you’re considering. We can talk through your plans now and check whether we’re free once you have a date.

What happens if we postpone or cancel?

The deposit can be transferred to a new date, subject to our availability. It remains non-refundable if you cancel or we are unavailable on the new date. If you pay in full upfront, 50% of the total is treated as the non-refundable booking fee. Your invoice contains the full booking terms.

Can we change coverage or add something later?

Message us if your plans change. Extra hours, faster delivery, special edits, prints and other extras may cost more. We’ll agree on the work and price with you first.

What if the photographer cannot attend?

If illness or an emergency prevents the photographer from attending, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement. If a replacement cannot be arranged, a full refund will be provided, as set out in your booking terms.

Which files do we receive, and how do we keep them?

You’ll receive edited digital photos, plus any films and other items agreed in your quote. The number of photos depends on the length and events of your day. We don’t supply RAW or unedited files. Download your files and keep a backup when they arrive. The online gallery is available for a limited time, which we’ll confirm with you.

Can our wedding photographs stay private?

Please tell us before booking if you want your wedding kept private. Our standard terms allow portfolio, social media and promotional use. A private booking or non-disclosure arrangement must be agreed in advance and may carry an additional fee.
